We’re hiring! - ROR developers

We’re hiring - Ruby On Rails Developers
As a small boutique digital agency based near fashionable Portobello Road we are seeking a Rails Developer to add to our expanding team. We have a handful of clients that we have built very long-standing relationships with over the years so you would be working closely with them as much as you are with us. An interest in indie music would make this job all the more enjoyable.
So, what sort of skills do you have?
We are looking for someone that can step in and fill a broad role - primarily as a Rails developer with a mix of backend Ruby/Rails and frontend HTML/CSS/javascript/jQuery in the pot. Hands-on experience with Socials, Mobile (Native/Web) and strong knowledge of emerging web trends will also be useful. An occasional part of your job will also include Linux server admin, so being comfortable on the command line is a huge plus, and any experience with EC2 is a double plus. This is a full-time role, salary would be competitive and dependent on experience.
If that sounds like you, then please get in touch now, we are hiring immediately and promise to respond promptly when you contact us. Email your CV to jobs [at] rumblehq.com as the first step, we’ll have a read then arrange a quick phone interview with you. If we sound like a match we can arrange a face-to-face interview where you can meet the team.

Google + 1.
Google has launched the +1 recommendation service which enables anyone with a Google account to, when logged in, to click on the +1 icon that appears next to each search result and build a list of recommendations. These, much like the iconic “Like” status can then be used to determine relevancy by popularity.
+1 buttons can be added to any webpage in a similar way to how Facebook’s “Like” buttons integrate with your content.
It is thought that the +1 button will also begin to influence the way in which Google evaluates the relevancy of its results rankings.

The retail sector’s “Facebook effect”
Facebook’s influence on your e-commerce strategy may have more of an impact than you first thought. Facebook is reported to be likely to to have contributed £3 out of every £4 spent on social media marketing in the UK last year with some sources such as American Eagle reporting that Facebook referred buyers spend 57% more than the sites average.
